Now is the Perfect Time for Ghost Tours in Baltimore

Locally and women owned and operated Baltimore Ghost Tours just kicked off its 25th season this March! In our unbiased opinion, it’s never a bad time to take ghost tours in Baltimore but depending on when you come, it may have a slightly different flavor.

Our haunted history walking tours and haunted pub crawls run on Fridays and Saturdays from March through the end of November, and larger groups can schedule a private tour any night of the week.

Here is what to expect depending on when you visit.

Spring Ghost Tours in Baltimore

Baltimore weather comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, and then there is some weird lion/lamb hybrid with summer-like weather and cooler fall days with a breeze. A new cryptid? Expect smaller groups as people come out of winter hibernation, and boisterous crowds on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) and Preakness (May 17) as the warmer weather hits and people are ready to party. Our tour guides are excited for a new season and ready to get back into telling all the spellbinding haunted tales and colorful history of the neighborhood.

Summer Ghost Tours in Baltimore

People are out and about, looking for a summer cocktail and restaurants with outside seating. Fell’s Point takes on a boardwalk vibe and if you have curly hair, the humidity would like to say hello. Some of our tour guides defy the weather, still wearing their cloaks, black suits and swirling dresses but no need for you to stand on ceremony. Embrace the outdoor living with longer, lighter nights and spooky summer storms. You’ll be on the tour with people from all over visiting for summer vacations and coming to watch whichever team is here to lose to the Orioles… oh did we say that? We meant whichever team is coming for a tight game with our beloved O’s.

Fall Ghost Tours are Always On Point

As you may have guessed, this is our busiest time of year with groups gaining momentum as we approach our Halloween season ghost tours. Both our Fell’s Point and Mount Vernon ghost and haunted pub tours run at this time of year and this is usually when people on our tours have gotten the best ghost photos (https://www.cbsnews.com/baltimore/news/ghost-sighting-baltimore-berthas-mussels/), as if the ghosts know it is their time in the spotlight. Many of the merchants get into the season with Halloween décor. After a new season of leading tours, our guides have new stories of encounters they’ll want to share.

Whenever you come to visit Baltimore, we hope you will come join us on a Baltimore Ghost Tour! It is a fun way to learn a little about the City’s history and lore, and take a look at your group because you never know which of our residents who have never left may pop in for a stop or two.
